Hi, I’m Larisa, founder of Kalyan Nomad.
Born in Romania, I spent more than half my life living in different countries, always searching for a place that truly felt like home. A few years ago, I arrived in India with no long-term plan. What I thought would be a short trip slowly became months and then years of exploration.
India transformed me. I wandered through colourful markets, shared chai with strangers who became friends, explored magnificent forts, celebrated festivals with local families and discovered villages that never appear in guidebooks. I realised that the true magic of India isn’t only found in its monuments—it lives in its people.
Local guides became trusted friends, drivers became family and the unfamiliar slowly became home. Those relationships inspired me to create Kalyan Nomad so other travellers could experience the same authentic India that changed my life.
